Hard Blast: Serial blasts in an illegal firecracker factory in Harda, Madhya Pradesh shook the city. The death toll in the accident increased to 11. 174 injured were referred to Harda district hospital, in which the condition of 34 people was said to be very serious. He has been referred to Bhopal. Three accused including factory owner Rajesh Aggarwal have been arrested in the case.
More than 40 fire brigade vehicles are engaged in extinguishing the fire. Till now the fire has not been completely extinguished. CM Mohan Yadav will reach the accident site on Wednesday. The government has ordered an investigation into the accident. It has been announced to give a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh each to the injured.

There should be at least 1 acre of land for a firecracker factory. Only then you get the license. There should not be any residential area around the firecracker factory. The factory operates only after NOC from the fire department and the concerned police station.
When did major accidents happen?
Due to ignorance of rules, how many major accidents took place in the country and how many people lost their lives. During 2022, 60 firecracker factories caught fire. 66 people lost their lives. There were 64 accidents in 2021, in which 96 people died. In 2020, 13 people died in 9 accidents. 33 people lost their lives in 2019. 71 people died in 2018. This means that in the last five years, two hundred and eighty nine people have lost their lives in a total of 211 accidents.
Neither training nor security for workers
Tamil Nadu ranks first in the country in firecracker manufacturing. From here 80 percent of firecrackers are supplied in the country and abroad. A survey report shows that 92 percent of the workers working in firecracker factories are not given training in making firecrackers. Whereas 97 percent laborers do not even get facilities like security kit. This is the situation when India earns more than Rs 10 thousand crore from the firecracker market.
